What began as a personal vision born from the experience of a broken arm and the related challenges within the healthcare system has now become an established success story in the Swiss healthcare landscape.
This experience sparked the desire to better support patients and significantly simplify access to healthcare services—thus, heyPatient was born
Four Founders - One Mission
On October 1st, 2019, the four co-founders Matthias Spühler (CEO), Beatrice Höhener (Medical Advisor), Regula Spühler (COO), and Jürgen Link (CTO) officially registered the company in the commercial register, laying the foundation for its future.

The first prototype of heyPatient was created shortly thereafter—in collaboration with Deep Impact AG – even before heyPatient was officially founded.
The initial prototype was refined in close cooperation with healthcare providers, including two Swiss hospitals, and further developed through user testing. You can find out how the first Minimal Loveable Product (MLP) was developed here.
An important Milestone: Cantonal Hospital Baden's Involvement as a Strong Signal to the Market
A key milestone was the involvement of Kantonsspital Baden in our solution. This was a strong signal to the market, as hospitals are our primary target customers.
